Comparison

Vantage vs LetCompliance

Two UK products with “compliance” at their core, built differently: LetCompliance runs the whole tenancy in one login for England; Vantage does compliance only, at full depth, across all four UK nations. Here's an honest look at where each fits.

Choose LetCompliance if…

  • You self-manage in England and want one login for adverts, rent collection, tax and compliance.
  • You want SMS reminders as well as email.
  • You're an agency with well over 150 properties, where the flat £129/month agent plan starts beating per-property pricing.

Choose Vantage if…

  • You have properties in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland - or a mixed portfolio across nations.
  • You're an agent or property manager who needs AML sanctions screening and a court-grade, tamper-evident audit trail.
  • You already have rent, tax and repairs covered and want the deepest compliance layer at the lowest flat price - £8.00/month for up to 10 properties.
  • You're a landlord with more than 20 properties - LetCompliance's landlord plans stop at 20, leaving the £129/month agent plan as the next step. On Vantage, 25 properties cost £20/month.

Frequently asked questions

Is Vantage an alternative to LetCompliance?

For the compliance side, yes. Both give each property a 0–100 compliance score with reminders before deadlines. The difference is scope and depth: LetCompliance is an all-in-one England-only platform that also does adverts, rent collection and tax, while Vantage is a dedicated compliance platform covering all four UK nations, with AML/sanctions screening, automated EPC register lookups and a tamper-evident audit trail - designed to run beside your existing rent and accounting tools.

Which is cheaper, Vantage or LetCompliance?

Vantage is cheaper at every landlord tier: £8/month covers up to 10 properties (LetCompliance charges £14.99 for 1–3 and £19 for 4–10), and 20 properties cost £16 on Vantage against £49 on LetCompliance. LetCompliance's landlord plans also stop at 20 properties - a landlord with 21 or more would need the £129/month agent plan, where Vantage would be £16.80. For letting agents, that £129/month covers up to 300 properties, while Vantage is £8 plus £0.80 per property above 10 - cheaper until roughly 160 properties. Prices from both public pricing pages, August 2026.

Does LetCompliance cover Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland?

No - LetCompliance describes itself as built for England and its FAQ confirms it does not cover the other nations. Vantage covers England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, applying each nation's rules (Rent Smart Wales, Scottish landlord registration and interlinked alarm standards, NI deposit deadlines) per property.

Why doesn't Vantage do rent collection, tax or maintenance?

By design. Most landlords and agents already have rent collection (bank, agent, or accounting software) and tax tooling they trust. Vantage does one job - compliance - at full depth: 22 obligations, four nations, sanctions screening, evidence and audit trail. It's built to sit beside your existing stack rather than replace it.

Can I use Vantage and LetCompliance together?

There's nothing stopping you, but their compliance features overlap significantly - most people would pick one for compliance. Vantage pairs more naturally with tools that don't do compliance depth at all: Goodlord or OpenRent for tenant-find, Xero or Landlord Vision for the books, Fixflo for repairs.
